    Solar Energy in Marbella

This retained 2025 research URL explains how to reassess an older solar proposal. It is not evidence that 2025 was the best year to buy or that historical tariffs and incentives remain available.

What a retrospective can usefully tell you

Solar decisions made in one year reflect the tariffs, equipment offers, finance and household plans available at that time. An older article can explain the decision framework, but cannot establish a current bargain or guaranteed return.

Previous unsupported regional sunshine counts, price-rise percentages, standard savings and finance claims have been removed. This retrospective does not present a historical market dataset or verified customer performance. The useful question is which assumptions need updating before acting now.

    Recheck electricity-price assumptions

Import tariffs and export terms can change in different directions. Compare the actual contract and a realistic annual consumption profile. A forecast based on high past prices can overstate the value of avoided imports today.

Keep standing charges and taxes visible. If a supplier offers credits beyond a basic export-compensation arrangement, check the full terms, fees and eligibility rather than treating them as permanent benefits.

Separate technology changes from marketing claims

New panel or battery product families may offer different specifications, but a newer label alone does not establish a better investment. Match exact module dimensions, inverter compatibility, mounting constraints and service arrangements to the property.

Review current model-specific warranty documents and availability. Do not carry an old warranty length, equipment price or certification claim forward into a new quote without evidence. Check whether an apparently cheaper quote has omitted electrical upgrades or aftercare.

Household plans can change the design

An EV, a heat pump or a change from seasonal to permanent occupancy can shift both the amount and timing of demand. Request a revised load profile instead of merely enlarging the original array.

Compare staged works with one combined project. LIT handles solar, batteries, EV charging and planned electrical work. Agua-Therm handles heating and HVAC; a solar research article should not imply that LIT is the heating contractor.

Rebuild the business case without assumed incentives

A historic grant announcement is not proof of an open funded call. Check current authority guidance, deadlines, eligible expenditure and compatibility before including support. Keep a no-incentive base case.

Include financing, maintenance and replacement, and test a lower-savings scenario. A property valuation increase or fixed annual carbon saving should not be asserted without an appropriate methodology and evidence.

Evidence to request for a decision now

LIT is the primary commercial owner for the solar next step. Use this list to update an old proposal rather than relying on the publication year.

    • Current itemised quote and exact model numbers.
    • Current written warranty terms and applicable credentials.
    • Revised roof survey and demand profile.
    • Dated tariff and export assumptions with sensitivity analysis.
    • Confirmed permit responsibilities and realistic project milestones.
